Summary

The Sycamore School is an accredited, independent middle and high school that teaches from a Mastery Based Learning model. The Sycamore School’s unique and progressive learning model affords teachers a lot of freedom in what subjects or units they teach. Generally, teachers work to meet students’ interest and curiosity with developmentally appropriate challenges and structured choices that empower students to take an active role in their own learning. Classes have a maximum of 10 students, which enables teachers to build relationships with students while offering individualized and small group instruction.

The Sycamore School is currently seeking a full-time Math Teacher to teach high school math classes. Each class maintains a 1:6 teacher to student ratio for middle school and a 1:7 teacher to student ratio for high school. Staff are responsible for breaking down math content to meet individual student needs using our problem-based learning model.
