Celina Pierrottet has been teaching history for four years. Before coming to the Sycamore School, she taught seventh grade US history in Fairfax County Public Schools to students from special education classes to advanced academics, and everything in between. During that time she co-piloted an interdisciplinary program and created rigorous and authentic learning experiences for all students. “What I learned from that experience is that all students rise to the occasion, when given the tools to succeed. Even if the expectations are just out of reach, the right amount of encouragement and constructive feedback will help them surpass those expectations.” Outside of school, Celina enjoys reading, snuggled up to her cat Theo (short for Theodore Roosevelt), as well as training for and competing in triathlons with her husband.
