Interest Meeting: Spring Break Community Service & Adventure Trip to Belize

TSS Parents, High School Students, and Staff are invited to attend an interest meeting regarding a TSS Spring Break Trip to Belize. We’re partnering with Todd Riimkus, a professor at Marymount, to offer a spring break trip that focuses both on community service and on learning more about Belize culture, environment, and community. Todd has been traveling to Belize for over 19 years and taking students with him. He’s started Hawksbill Hope, a project that aids in the conservation of Belize’s natural resources by providing support to monitoring nesting beaches and collecting data on endangered hawksbill sea turtles. Todd takes college students to Belize for community service and adventure trips. Students are able to see manatees and sea turtles while also engaging in community service projects that partner with a local Belize community to support their schools. We launched our first TSS trip to Belize last year and it was a huge success. Any interested High School Students, Parents, and Staff are invited to attend this interest meeting. We want to gauge interest before moving forward with the trip.
