Spotlight: Leadership Initiatives Info Meeting

The Sycamore School has partnered with the Leadership Initiatives Program to provide summer internship opportunities for our students in a variety of areas including law, business, medicine & public health, neuroscience, national security, and cyber security. An interest meeting is being held next Thursday evening where you can learn more about the program. I encourage both middle school and high school parents and students to attend. Several of our TSS students have attended the Leadership Initiatives summer internships in the past and it’s been a wonderful experience. One unique quality of the program is that students are working on real cases versus simulations, which directly benefit underserved communities. The internship program also offers several perks, such as free college essay writing support, ACT/SAT prep, and other college application support. After being a summer intern, there are opportunities to work as staff for LI.

I can personally attest to the value of the program. My son attended LI as an intern for two years and then worked with them throughout his senior year and last summer as a staff member. As a result, he is now in a pre-law program at college.
